Founded in 2011 by Karthik Bettadapura and Vikranth Ramanolla, we started as a data company with a bold vision - to help businesses make smarter, faster decisions in an increasingly digital world.

Over the years, we’ve evolved from early experiments with retail data into a powerful AI-driven platform that delivers market intelligence at scale. Karthik Bettadapura
Co-founder & CEO

Karthik Bettadapura, Co-founder and CEO of DataWeave, is a seasoned technology leader with a track record of over 15 years developing and overseeing the success of large-scale web and data analytics products and platforms. At DataWeave, he spearheads the company's product vision and steers its strategic business development strategy. His extensive expertise in technology leadership has been honed through his prior involvement in the creation of CNBC's online property, Web18.

Vikranth Ramanolla

Vikranth Ramanolla
Co-founder & CTO

Vikranth brings over 14 years of experience in building big data platforms and large-scale systems for aggregating and analyzing unstructured data. Prior to co-founding DataWeave, he was part of the core engineering team at Web18, where he helped develop and scale one of India’s leading digital properties. Vikranth holds an M.Tech from IIIT–Bangalore, with a specialization in Information Retrieval, Advanced Operating Systems, and Web Services.

Krishnan Thyagarajan

Krish is a seasoned global executive with over 25 years of experience in the IT industry. He has led and scaled businesses across diverse geographies, cultures, and stages of maturity. Before joining DataWeave, Krish held leadership roles at Dell, Quest Software, Microsoft, and other leading organizations. His expertise spans P&L management, enterprise market development, partner ecosystem growth, and incubating new business ventures.

Sanket Patil

Sanket Patil
Chief Data Strategy Officer

As a founding team member and Chief Data Strategy Officer at DataWeave, Sanket Patil defines and drives the company's data and AI strategy. Leveraging nearly two decades of R&D experience across academia and industry in AI/Machine Learning, NLP, Large-Scale Data Management, and Distributed Systems, he brings deep technical leadership and strategic vision to the role. Sanket collaborates closely with Product, Data Science, and Tech teams to deliver impactful AI-powered solutions, drawing on his extensive background in building data products for online retail and leading high-performance teams.

Edward Salas

Edward Salas
SVP Retail Strategy

Eddy Salas brings over three decades of experience in grocery retail, having spent 31 years with H-E-B. As the former Director of Pricing, Eddy has honed his expertise over 19 years in corporate pricing strategies, pricing systems and solutions, competitive data acquisition, and pricing intelligence. In his current role at DataWeave, he leverages his deep industry knowledge to help customers, prospects, and the broader industry advance their retail pricing journey.

Sadananda Vaidya

Sadananda Vaidya brings nearly 25 years of experience in building scalable, high-performance engineering teams and enterprise-grade solutions. With a strong foundation in product-led innovation, he plays a pivotal role in shaping DataWeave’s technology roadmap and driving continuous improvement across the stack. His leadership combines deep technical expertise with sharp execution, making him a key force behind DataWeave’s growth and platform excellence.

Srikanth Ramanolla leads Customer Success, Account Management, and Business Analytics at DataWeave, driving measurable impact for global retailers and brands. He blends deep domain expertise with a passion for customer-centric, data-driven growth. Srikanth steers AI-powered initiatives that turn complex data into strategic advantage while strengthening long-term partnerships. He also oversees cross-functional teams across client services, presales, and analytics. Srikanth holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow and is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Sharjeel Mohamed

Sharjeel Mohamed brings over 20 years of experience in enterprise software, data analytics in the retail and banking domain. At DataWeave, Sharjeel heads the global delivery function, ensuring high-impact execution and customer success. He works closely with cross-functional teams to translate strategic objectives into actionable outcomes that drive value for clients in dynamic retail markets. His extensive leadership experience includes roles at MetricStream and Infosys, where he managed large-scale projects and teams, driving revenue growth and operational excellence.

Senior Director, Global Marketing

Shailendra leads Global Marketing at DataWeave, where he drives brand awareness, content, demand generation, and go-to-market strategy across key international markets. With over a decade of experience in B2B SaaS, particularly in the North American retail and eCommerce sectors, Shailendra brings deep expertise in scaling marketing functions, building category leadership, and crafting narratives that bridge product value with customer impact. His work spans the full marketing funnel, with a strong focus on aligning marketing execution with key business goals.
